Album 11
(10 September 1997 to 23 March 1998)
Bosnia is a wonderful, beautiful place with lovely people.
The problem is that they decided to cruelly kill each other .
Sarajevo is mostly rebuilt in the center,

the food is fabulous

and U2 came for a concert (but Bono lost his vox).

We went thru Mostar, site of particularly sad Croat-Muslim
hostility, and saw the wreck of the famous bridge.

After Bosnia, we headed back to Croatia and saw Dubrovnik again
(little changed since I was there 18 months earlier).

Back in Zagreb, we ate ice cream and cake at Vincek,

had parties at our flat (moving out almost before we moved in),

and celebrated Christmas.

Mickie joined us from California.
Next - we said good bye to all our friends/co-workers in
Zagreb and went to America, where Sandra discovered:
Big Food,

Big Religion

and the Biggest Tree in the World.

We visited another Croatian immigrant
(who just recently returned to start a vineyard in Croatia
after hesitating for years because of a greedy government)

and now - back to Europe
(Just 15 to go!)
